Focused on Fertility Educational Program
April 24 - 30, 2016 is National Infertility Awareness Week
Early on, an individual or couple may not want to - or be ready to - talk about the difficult emotions associated with infertility. To meet that need, I offer the Focused on Fertility Program.
Focused on Fertility is a six-session psychoeducational* program with the primary goals of reducing stress and regaining control for individuals and couples experiencing infertility.
After the initial introduction meeting, each Focused on Fertility session is structured to address a common area of concern including:
- Stress management
- Tricky situations
- Negative thoughts
- Impact on couples
*Psychoeducational describes education on a psychological or mental health concern designed to empower participants to deal with their situation in an optimal way. Psychoeducation is different than therapy. Although there will be some time addressing feelings, each one-hour session is largely focused on education around a particular aspect of the infertility journey.
Insurance is not accepted for the Focused on Fertility Program.
